At Home in Both Languages
German is my native language – but the English language and British culture have been an integral part of my life for many years.
From 2008 to 2016, I lived and worked in London, where I studied journalism at the University of the Arts London. My many years in an English-speaking environment shaped not only my language skills, but also my instinct for the nuances and cultural subtleties of the English language.
About Me
Veronika Leitner
My passion for language and communication has been a recurring theme throughout my academic and professional career.
After completing undergraduate studies in Politics and Social Sciences at the University of Augsburg, I moved to London in 2008. There, I studied journalism and gained further professional experience working in project management, research and communication tailored to different audiences.
The deliberately precise nature of my approach to communication and the ability to convey complex content in an accessible way have stayed with me ever since.
After returning to Germany, I decided to combine this experience with my interest in communication and qualified as a state-certified translator and interpreter - delivering language services to private individuals as well as for businesses and public authorities on a freelance basis since 2020.

Today, I combine my language skills and international experience with my professional qualification as a state-qualified translator and interpreter.
Through Bridge Translations, I support private clients, businesses and institutions with professional communication between German and English – both written and spoken.
I work directly with you. From your initial enquiry through to completion of the assignment, I am your personal point of contact and will respond individually to your requirements and the specific needs of each project.
Linguistic precision, confidentiality and careful handling of your documents are a matter of course for me.
